What exactly do we want to reduce at ECL Kontor?

ECL Euro-Cargo-Logistik Kontor GmbH has been an established medium-sized logistics service provider based in Hamburg for over 20 years. The company stands for quality, reliability, and flexibility in the areas of customs clearance, transport, and warehouse logistics. ECL Kontor is continuously developing to meet the increasing demands of sustainability and digitalization.
With its project “Digital Transformation for CO₂ Reduction in Logistics,” ECL Kontor is pursuing the goal of making logistics processes more efficient, sustainable, and resource-friendly through the use of a digital software solution. The focus is on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, optimizing transport routes, and saving resources through digital solutions.

Planned measures
• Reduction of paper consumption by 90 percent through the complete digitization of transport and customs documents.
• Reduction of CO₂ emissions by at least 10 percent through route optimization to minimize empty runs and inefficient transport routes.
• Optimizing vehicle usage through data-based driving control (KPIs) and reduced operating time for industrial trucks and
reach stackers.
• Creating CO₂ transparency for customers by enabling them to track and select more climate-friendly transport options.
• Automation of internal processes to increase efficiency and reduce administrative effort.
This project directly contributes to the goals of the IFB funding program “Sustainable Logistics through Digital Solutions.” As a medium-sized company in the
logistics industry, the funding provides essential support for implementing the digital transformation in an economically viable manner.
