Responsibilities
Independent management and processing of international sea freight shipments
Ideally also independent import clearance
Maintaining incoming and outgoing goods on the system side and forwarding orders to our own warehouse
Of course, care is taken to ensure efficient processing
The creation of transport and customs documents accompanies daily use
Daily support for our customers from the e-commerce sector and organizing FBA transports
The billing of services and close customer contact
Regular participation in customer meetings and process optimization talks
Qualifications
Successfully completed vocational training with a focus on logistics and/or forwarding, such as logistics clerk, forwarding clerk, clerk for forwarding and logistics services, logistician and similar (m/f/d)
Previous work experience
Experienced handling of the MS Office package and working on the PC are not a problem
Professional experience in the forwarding of sea freight import
Ability to work in a team, commitment and a distinct and customer-oriented way of thinking and working
Good written and spoken German and English skills (German at least C1)

Responsibilities
Handling legally compliant customs procedures for our international customers
Together with the Customs team, day-to-day operations in the areas of import, export and transit are taken over
As a point of contact for the customs authorities, the customs procedures are managed and monitored
Advising several internal and external partners as a communicative interface on customs clearance issues
The preparation of evaluations, calculations and accounts
Inspections and audits are carried out and documented together with the authorities
Sample tasks
Clearance of imports according to the 40 & 42 procedure
Creation of relevant documents for export (e.g. ABD, Z number, S number and BHT)
Execution of returned goods clearance outside of the standard procedure
Registration of T1 transit procedures for goods within the EU/ ETFA states
•Preparation of safety assessment summary declarations
Deadline monitoring of the presentation data of goods (ATB)
Administration and management of seal lists (to ensure identity for T1 documents)
Processing of customs and veterinary controls and creation of documents in Traces GGED & Veterinäramt (TRACES network for veterinary and animal welfare)
Processing appeals / refunds for incorrect customs declarations or wrongly levied customs duties
Qualifications
Successfully completed vocational training in the field of freight forwarding, foreign trade or an apprenticeship with the customs administration
Certified customs agent
Good knowledge of customs and commercial law
General knowledge of QM and IFS logistics, hygiene, product protection and safety (short training)
Previous professional experience in operative customs clearance

Customer Service and Billing
The focus of the training is on learning job-related activities, for example how to obtain service offers from modes of transport such as hauliers, communicate with customers and suppliers and carry out warehouse planning and management. Working with the logistics software - from customs clearance to incoming and outgoing goods - accompanies the everyday life of our trainees. In order to be able to combine theory and practice, there are also regular classes at the vocational school. The knowledge gained there is put into practice by us. Due to the variety of customers and services from ECL, our trainees are recognized as all-round logisticians after completing their training in our company.

Participation in the key account management of A-customers
Order entry and billing of services in the company's internal forwarding module CargoSoft
Support in the spot/depot business and in the coordination of the outputs of transport services
Implementation of regular monitoring
Assistance in the creation and preparation of order documents (e.g. label, unloading report)
Checking the completeness of customer documents
Passing through the areas of customs and foreign trade

Qualifications

A keen interest in organizational activities and the logistics industry

A high willingness to learn, sociability and good verbal expression are desirable at the beginning of the training
Knowledge of foreign languages is also advantageous
